It has come to my attention that there is a real issue festering for artists because of :iconkurtisatdeviantart:

He is constantly messaging several plush makers multiple times a day, getting angry if you don't respond in a ridiculously short time. From what I have heard, he is extremely hard to deal with in regard to actually selling a plush to him. His expectations are highly unrealistic and will continue to berate and harass you. He has no qualms about badmouthing artists and is extremely rude on everything from plush quality to price point. He was on a plush facebook group a while back that I am an admin on, and I banned him for literal constant harassment. It seems this has not stopped.

If you get a commission request or message from him, I encourage you to ignore it. It isn't worth the trouble, and I can guarantee you he has no respect or empathy for you as a person.

I hate I had to do this, but I would rather let people be warned than end up in a mess. I know there are multiple plush makers being affected by him and have brought this to my attention.

Thank you,

To whom is may concern, or to whomever sees this.

I'm rather unsure if this is simply on impulse or something else entirely, but I think I want to make a MLP plushie, and I'd like some help in this endeavour. If anyone here would be able to led a helping hand, even if it's some friendly advice, I'd be most grateful.

I don't know if I'm allowed to ask but I'm looking for a custom oc plush maker, relatively cheap. (Blame my money person.) Something less than $60, but is like minky and show accurate like all that epic work you see in the gallery. Sorry if this is too much to ask, but at this point I'm desperate. Lol.

I just have a general question for everyone: where is the best place online to find minky fabric? I've tried various craft store websites and, but either their color selection is very limited or they only have that ugly dimpled minky.

Here in the EU, I prefer Plush Addict in the UK. Before I found them, I ordered from Fabric Depot in the US.

I'd recommend not buying from; they have an annoying habit of running out of one colour of fabric, removing it from your order and shipping the rest without telling you, thus forcing you to lose time until the package arrives and you notice what they've done, and then spend money on shipping another order. Also, their product photos are taken under strange lighting, making it hard to get the colours right.

Speaking of colours, minky is really hard to show in a picture since the colour changes so much with the angle of the light and the nap of the fluff. Shannon produces a sample card with all their colours, which helps a great deal.

Hi there! I'm just a fellow 14 years old artist, and I want to ask some questions...

How do you do plushies? I mean, what kind of materials do you use just make one? I was planning to do one in Summer, but I kindly don't understand other's tutorials when it comes to the "patterns". ^^;

Hey! Welcome to plush-making!
You can use all kinds of materials to make plushies- I primarily use good quality (non-stretchy) fleece for my main fabric and use felt for detailing/hair!
Have you sewn before? Patterns can be confusing if you don't have sewing experience. If you're a complete beginner I recommend trying something basic like a fleece hat first as a starter. It's a great first project and practice for reading a pattern!
Hope it goes well for you, message me if you ever want more help with something!
